Recipients of the REALTOR® Centennial Grants have been announced!  Congratulations to them, and to all of the Grant Applicants, for being wonderful ambassadors for the real estate profession throughout our community.

From the 275 Grant Applications, each of which deserved serious consideration, ten REALTORS® have been selected to receive $10,000 grants for their nonprofit organization.  Please be sure to read September's issue of KCRAR's newspaper, Realeyes, for details about them and their outstanding service.

The grant recipients are:


Emily Golson Jennings, Prudential Kansas City Realty
Emily's non-profit organization is The ALS Association Keith Worthington Chapter


John (Jack) Jorden, Jack Jorden Real Estate
Jack's non-profit organization is CASA of Johnson & Wyandotte Counties, KS


Judy Stewart, Reece & Nichols College Plaza
Judy's non-profit organization is Fellowship of Christian Athletes


James (Jimmy Jack) Clayton, Masters GMAC Real Estate
Jimmy Jack's non-profit organization is First Downs for Down Syndrome


Deborah (Debbie) Schulte, Kessinger/Hunter Company LLC
Debbie's non-profit organization is the Greater Kansas City Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure

Jim's non-profit organization is Hands & Hearts for Children's Mercy Hospital & Clinics

Chuck's non-profit organization is Shriners Hospitals for Children

The Grant Recipients and their nonprofit organizations will be honored at a Reception on September 16.  It will be held in the JC Nichols Auditorium at the Liberty Memorial and will begin at 3:00 pm.  The Reception will be attended by real estate, civic and government leaders and the President-elect of the National Association of REALTORS®, Charles McMillan, will join us for the presentations.

Seating is very limited.  If you'd like to register to attend, go to Member Login on www.kcrar.com on or after August 28.
