Here are some dates to keep in mind for 2010 dues payment to avoid paying late fees. First and foremost, remember that payment must be received at KCRAR by midnight on Tuesday, Dec. 15. After that time, a late fee of $25 will be charged to your account. You can avoid this by taking advantage of our new payment options.

NOTE: When paying your KCRAR dues by check, please make the check out to “KCRAR.”

This year, you have new options and more time to pay your dues. You can choose to pay the total amount of the invoice at any time, online by credit card or by mail using a check or credit card, as long as KCRAR receives the full payment by midnight on Dec. 15. You can also choose to make partial payments via the following options:

1)     If you chose to pay in installments by check or credit card, through the mail or in person, you can make partial payments in any amount, at any time (as long as KCRAR receives full payment by midnight on Dec. 15).

2)     If you chose to pay in installments online, you could have either made 1/3 payments each month beginning in September and continuing in October and November; or made a 2/3 payment in October and the remaining 1/3 payment in November.

Here’s a rundown of the 2010 dues schedule:

Sept. 2, 2009 – Dues invoices distributed.

October, November and December 2009 – Statements will be sent via e-mail or, if requested, snail mail to the member’s home to all members with an outstanding balance.

Dec. 15, 2009 – Payment is due in full by midnight.

Dec. 16, 2009 – Late fee of $25 charged to members with an unpaid dues balance.

Jan. 1, 2010 – Members with an unpaid dues balance will be suspended from KCRAR and HMLS services.

Jan. 15, 2010 – An additional late fee of $25 will be charged to members with an unpaid dues balance. The balance and late fees must be received at KCRAR by midnight on Jan. 29, 2010 to avoid termination.

Feb. 1, 2010 – Members who have not paid in full will be terminated from the local, state and national associations. To rejoin after this date, members will need to complete a new member application and pay application fees and prorated dues for the year.

You can avoid paying any late fees by paying in full by midnight on Dec. 15!
