The FBI is analyzing your latest closing.
...At least they might be! Mortgage fraud is running rampant in the metro area.
The FBI’s Special Agent in Charge for Kansas City is coming to KCRAR this Friday, January 20 to talk about how you can identify fraud and not become an unwitting participant.
The class is open to all members and KCRAR Workforce Housing Specialists will receive 1 education point toward renewing your certification. The non-CE class lasts only 1 ½ hours, so be sure to attend! It’s a fascinating seminar and you’ll be sorry if you miss it. Read the testimonial below from an agent who attended the last offering.
Click here to register online for either of the February 20th class times – look for the title “WHS Program the FBI and Mortgage Fraud.” Choose either 9:00am-10:30am or 11:00am to 12:30pm. And if you’re curious how many education points you’ve already accrued toward your renewal, email julie@kcrar.com.
Read what a former attendee of the seminar had to say:
“I hope we can bring back Julia so more agents can hear what she has to say about mortgage fraud. Whether you just started in the business or have been in the business 20 years, she shared information about this rising crime that we all need to hear. We've always known that if things seem too good to be true then something is probably wrong, but some of the situations described that took place in this city were shocking.
She has a great presentation and has so much to share with the real estate community. I urge agents who didn't get the work force housing certificate to at least sign up for the training because KCRAR has offered us very valuable information and training.
Thanks again!”
