Each year the KCRAR Awards Committee selects five outstanding REALTORS® as our “of the Year” honorees. Last January, when the 2006 award recipients were announced, Randy Vanderpool was honored as the KCRAR Newcomer of the Year.

A former United States Marine, Randy had also worked with Best Buy Corporation as a Regional Change Implementation Manager and District Manager.  A devoted family man, he understands how important a home is to families.  As an agent with Keller Williams Realty Partners, Inc., in Overland Park, Randy combines superior service and market knowledge with uncompromising integrity to help his clients make sound investment decisions.

Randy’s commitment to ethics and cooperation were regularly recognized by cooperating agents throughout his 23 closed transactions in his winning year.  He also achieved 100% attendance at weekly sales meetings and tours, and attended 23 training courses through his broker at the time, Reece & Nichols.

The proof was in the results for Randy, whose total closed sales and/or leases, and sole exclusive right to sell listings that sold came to $5,868,889.

With success like that – not to mention a family that includes daughters Hailey, 4-1/2, and Alexandra, 18 months – it’s difficult to believe that Randy has time for outside volunteer activities. But he makes the time, as an American Red Cross CPR instructor, Project Aware member, and VITA volunteer, providing income tax assistance for low-income families.

He’s also been an active member in KCRAR.

“I have enjoyed being a member of the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS®,” Randy says. “I look forward to playing a more active role in the training and development of new associates.  And I’m interested in participating in future KCRAR events, where my extensive background in training and development can be utilized.”
