Missouri Homeownership Preservation Summit

Foreclosures are rising nationally: What are the trends in Missouri? You’re invited to attend a statewide summit to learn more and engage in the discussion.

 

Attend to learn more about what your community can do to reduce foreclosures, stabilize neighborhoods and maintain the tax base. Find out what help is currently available for Missouri homeowners.

 

Summit: January 14, 2010, 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Reception: January 13, 2010, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. (optional)

Keynote Speaker: Lisa Ransom, Vice President of Federal Affairs, Center for Responsible Lending

Topic: New federal housing, residential lending and consumer protection policies

Location: Capital Plaza Hotel, Jefferson City, MO

The summit’s mission is to bring together elected officials, community leaders, industry professionals and nonprofit housing agency directors and staff to:

 

  • Learn about current foreclosure, fraud and loan performance trends;
  • Learn about new consumer protection and residential lending laws;
  • Engage in discussions with policy experts and housing professionals; and
  • Identify promising practices to preserve homeownership.
