KCRAR’s Perry Crume has been honored with the “Professional Excellence” Award from The Kansas City Society of Association Executives (KCSAE).
Perry is the Chief Operating Officer of the 10,500-member Association and has been with KCRAR since its beginning six and a half years ago.
It was Perry’s responsibility to create and implement all the association services that touch REALTOR® members in the Kansas City area. He oversees the Education, Communications, Public Relations, Member Services, Networking Events, Retail Store and Lockbox System.
But the one program that stands out among all others that Perry was instrumental in establishing and nurturing is the “Housing Opportunity Program.” The goal of this program is twofold: to educate our own members about the issue of “workforce housing” in this region; and, to help local residents achieve the dream of homeownership.
KCRAR, under Perry’s leadership, has created a website (www.kchomeprograms.com) where all of the information about special loan programs and funding from federal, state and local sources is pulled together in one place, and where a person can find which programs would be helpful specifically to them.
This website has become so popular that many other local and state associations actually license the program from KCRAR, and the National Association of REALTORS® is currently looking at the possibility of licensing the technology and concept from KCRAR.
Perry has over 30 years experience serving the real estate industry. Although he holds a real estate broker’s license in two states, Perry's background prior to joining KCRAR primarily involved developing unique products and services in a real estate franchise setting.
Before joining KCRAR, Perry was Director of International Real Estate for Prudential Real Estate & Relocation. At Cendant (now Realogy), his charge was to consolidate the Asset Management services of Coldwell Banker and ERA and to design and develop a nationwide broker-to-broker referral network for Coldwell Banker, ERA and Century 21. At ERA Franchise Systems, Perry held the positions of National Director of Relocation Services and also Director of Product Development.
