Many of us struggled to complete the 12 hours of continuing education needed for the last Missouri renewal, but Linda Hueffmeier had accrued far more than enough. Her total was 120 hours.
She attended 78 hours of continuing education plus 42 hours of GRI since the last license renewal and she’s far from finished. As soon as there is a new class, Linda will be there.
This astounding accomplishment was made possible because Linda recognizes the value of education. She said, “The classes give me a way to interact with other agents in a setting that allows discussion about factual information.” Because she works a lot from home she finds that attending the classes has become “a substitute for the office environment, for learning and networking.” And the fact KCRAR’s CE classes have been free of charge (in 2005 - 2007) helped make it possible for her to attend so often.
It’s not as if Linda has extra time on her hands with nothing else to do. She’s a busy and successful multi-million dollar producer with Prudential Kansas City Realty at 8101 College Boulevard in Overland Park who got her start by handing out 1,000 business cards in the first 3 months of her career. The exposure worked for her and got her on her feet as a hard-working, dedicated single mother. Today she has a son in law school, another son who is a Vice President with Morgan Stanley in New York and a 16 year old son still at home who she declares is “the best part of every day” for her.
Linda derives a great deal of enjoyment helping first time home buyers and single mothers.
Her personal experience taught her the importance of homeownership and independence and she wants to share what she knows. Linda never allows herself to know the potential commission she’ll earn until a transaction closes because she wants to focus solely on her clients’ needs and not on herself. At KCRAR we think Linda’s buyers must be among the luckiest people in town.
It’s easy to find someone in her company willing to rave about her. As the Prudential Kansas City Training Director, Elaine Cavener said, “Linda Hueffmeier is an extremely caring individual who always puts the needs of her clients above her own. Because of this quality, her clients often become her friends. I have never heard a single detrimental comment about Linda, from clients or other agents. The way she works and her contagious smile make all of her transactions happy ones.”
Linda has learned how education can affect the bottom line for her income, too. She said “Education has enabled me to grow in the business steadily and bring difficult deals to win-win closings. It allows me to keep transactions fact-based and avoid the disaster of the emotional tug-of-war.”
Everyone at KCRAR can tell you that Linda’s infectious smile and sunny outlook brightens the entire office the moment she walks through the door. We’re happy and proud to have her as a member of KCRAR.
Thank you, Linda -- when it comes to education, you're an outstanding REALTOR® Role Model.
