KCRAR is committed to helping the greater Kansas City area put their lives back together following the recent tornadoes. Therefore, we are proud to announce the establishment of the “REALTOR® Relief Fund”. KCRAR will kick off this fund with a $25,000 contribution and will be seeking participation from other related groups.
These funds will be used to assist REALTORS® whose homes or businesses were damaged or destroyed as a result of the tornadoes. In addition, KCRAR believes REALTORS® have an obligation to help the greater community at large. Without them, we would not be able to enjoy such a great career. How can you help?
We would like you to take an active role in this fund as well, and consider pledging funds from each of your closings between now and September 1, 2003. Please complete the attached Pledge Form. 100% of all funds raised will be distributed to needy parties.
2.In addition, we need your help in identifying those members most affected. If you are aware of any REALTORS whose home or office was damaged or destroyed, please contact KCRAR with that information.
3. Finally, what REALTORS® do best, is find people housing. Therefore, if you have, or know of owners of rental properties who would be willing to work with families or individuals in need of temporary housing, please notify KCRAR by using the attached form. We will supply this information to the Red Cross and Salvation Army, as well as have it available at our office, and at www.kcrar.com.
Let’s show Kansas City what we all know – that the REALTOR® family is a special one, and that we are there for you in good times and in bad.
Thanks for your participation, effort, and willingness to help your community and your fellow REALTORS®.
