Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. That translates to about 38,000 pints needed per day!
KCRAR members can make a difference by participating in the KCRAR Blood Drive on Wednesday, July 1. NOTE: This is a change from the original date.
The life you save with your donation could be that of a premature infant, a burn or crash victim, or a transplant or cancer patient. Or, it could be just about anyone in an emergency. Help by registering today!
KCRAR will host the Blood Drive in conjunction with the American Red Cross. Donations will help maintain safe and adequate blood supplies here in Kansas City and around the country. The Red Cross is experience a very low shortage of O negative blood and is urging all O negative donors to participate. Donations usually drop during the summer months because of increased activities and travel - let's not let that happen this year, especially so close to the Fourth of July weekend. Of course, all blood types are welcome!
