KCRAR directors are recognized for the real difference they make in the lives of KCRAR’s members and the industry as a whole. After all, they are leaders of one of the nation's largest REALTOR® associations. The decisions they make and the standards they set define the real estate business in this region and beyond.

You’re invited to suggest nominees, and of course self-nominations are encouraged, for this year’s Board election. The main qualifications for Board membership are an interest in the Association’s work, its goals and its future as well as leadership ability or potential.

KCRAR members will elect the following to the Board in 2011:

  • One At-large Director for a 3-year term, replacing Diana Welsh (whose term is up)
  • One At-large Director for a 1-year term, replacing Greg Shahan (who will be serving on the Board as the KAR Zone VP)
  • Two Region Chairmen, one each in the Rivers and Show Me Regions, for 2-year terms

At least one of the At-large Directors must be a broker/owner or manager.

To submit a nomination by the September 1 deadline, please complete the Application for Director Candidate and e-mail it, along with a photo, to KCRAR CEO Diane Ruggiero at DianeR@kcrar.com. Be sure to attach a photo when you send the application!

The Nominating Committee will meet in September to assemble slates for these positions. The candidate’s background and comments from the application will be published unedited with the ballot in November.

Thank you for considering serving in a leadership position at KCRAR.
