All KCRAR members must complete and report Code of Ethics training by December 31, 2008. This is a mandate from NAR every four years that you are a REALTOR®.
If it is not completed by December 31, 2008 at noon, we are required to SUSPEND YOUR MEMBERSHIP to KCRAR until you have completed this mandate. That means you will not have access to any member services such as HMLS, contracts and forms, classes or lockboxes.
Suspension will be lifted when the training requirement is met during the months of January and February 2009. But failure to complete the requirement by March 1, 2009 will result in automatic membership termination.
How to take the training course:
The last opportunities for attending the Code of Ethics required class and receiving simultaneous continuing education credit at KCRAR (3 hours elective license renewal credit for both Kansas and Missouri) are on these dates:
Tuesday, December 2nd, 9am-noon Thursday, December 4th, 1:00-4pm Tuesday, December 16, 9am-noon Wednesday, December 17, 1-4pm
Click here and login to register for one of these classes.
You can also find live, approved Ethics classes at Career Education Systems, http://www.ceskc.com/classes1.asp located at the Ward Parkway Center. And the course is available online, too, for those who prefer to work on the internet and still receive license credit at www.CECheap.com
A free Ethics class can be found at the website of the National Association of Realtors® at www.realtor.org where there is no license renewal credit, but you will satisfy Realtor® requirement for studying Ethics before the end of this year.
For complete information on ways to take and report the training, visit www.kcrar.com/code-of-ethics-training.
