Members of the Franklin County Board of REALTORS® in Kansas have voted to merge with KCRAR effective in January 2009. The merger decision came after more than a year of discussions and leaders of both associations are enthusiastic about the change.
“This merger opens exciting new possibilities for us,” says Melanie Herken-Johnson, 2008 President of the Franklin County Board. “KCRAR offers outstanding professional services not available to us before and is led by dedicated, experienced and knowledgeable REALTORS®. As members of KCRAR, we will be well positioned for the future!”
The Franklin County Board of REALTORS® consists of 78 members in the Ottawa, KS area west of Miami County.
In a letter welcoming Franklin County members, Kathy Woodward, SIOR, 2008 KCRAR President, said “In KCRAR you’ll find a progressive group of REALTORS® intent on pursuing excellence. Please get involved as soon as you can to get the most from your KCRAR membership.
“You have just become a part of an organization that celebrated its Centennial in 2008. That experience will serve us all well as we move forward and you’re invited to help shape the future.”
Details of the merger are underway now. Please seek out and welcome the new KCRAR members from Franklin County at future events.
