For just a moment, imagine a surgeon during a delicate operation. At a certain point he yells, “Scalpel”. The attending nurse says “Doctor, we don’t have one, will a paper clip do?” Okay, that one’s easy: NO, that won’t do – wrong tool!
How about the mechanic who works on your car? How confident would you feel about him, if he only had a hammer and a screwdriver as his only tools? Inadequate, right?
Fact is, in most any profession, tools help make doing the job easier, consistent, and can be absolutely necessary for the proper end result. In the case of REALTORS®, the top technology tools used today are a Display Key for electronic lock boxes, a laptop computer, a modem card for the laptop for Internet connections away from office, the MLS, a camera, email, cell phone, text messaging, a calculator, a PDA for Contact and Calendar organization, GPS navigation, a voice recorder for quick notes while mobile.
One of the most common denominators of top industry salespeople is that they have embraced and leverage technology to make the most efficient use of their most precious commodity: time. In our company, we describe that in a whimsical phrase “Do mo’ stuff now, and do it quicker!” That all sounds great, until you realize that you’ll need the equivalent of a workman’s toolbelt to carry all of these items, let alone, gathering them all up before you leave to the office. Oh, on average, the sum of these items can run well over $3000!
Solution: Palm Treo or Centro
Palm, inc., the company that created the first successful PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) today offers the solution for the above problem device overload. One small, handheld device that can replace all of the above mentioned devices, at a cost as low as $100 (versus $3000+). The Treo series of PDA/Phones is the largest selling series of phone used by Realtors in the country. The reasons are obvious: individuals want to get that “edge” to stay competitive using technology, but also yearn for simplicity.
Want to see and hear more?
On Friday, February 22, we will be holding a live Treo/Centro seminar at KCRAR offices in Leawood from 10:00 to 11:30am. The presentation is free to all KCRAR members, and will be given by Ron Olman, President of Pro-Mar Communication and Patty Koch, a Real Estate veteran of 12 years in K.C.Metro. Patty has been using the Treo for over 4 years now, so her perspective of it’s importance to productivity for Realtors is unique and heartfelt. While this is NOT a training session, Treo users can benefit by learning some things they probably never knew they could do. Existing Treo users, and all non Treo users are welcome. There will be ample time for your questions, technical, functional, or financial. A Pro-Mar Wireless Consultant will be on hand for sales on site. Those KCRAR members attending the session will be eligible for a drawing for a new Palm Centro in addition to other door prizes. To register for the presentation, go to www.kcrar.com, click on “Member Login” and then select “Register for Events”.
If you already have a Treo and feel lost, or want to make the most of your investment, go to www.pro-mar.net , look for the link to TREO TRAINING.
